Spring Cleaning list

Summer will be here before you know it and guests will start coming to your unit any day now. We would like to help you get ready with some reminders. If your property is not ready for the rental season, please call our office and make sure you have an owner block in place to allow for plenty of preparation time.  Please take a minute to read this important information.

·     Appliances & Furniture – Check all of your appliances, including the air conditioner and make sure they are all running properly. It is always cheaper to fix it now if need be. Sofa beds don’t last forever, open and close your sofa beds several times to make sure it is operational and the mattress is in good shape and has a clean mattress pad.

·     Pillows & Blankets – Place all blankets and bed covers on the beds. Please keep it simple and remove decorative items.

·     Cable & Internet– If you have a Comcast Cable box, please make sure the pay-per-view service is blocked, so your guests can’t charge movies to your account. Internet is a must – 94% of people will not book a property without Internet service. If you don’t have it, we are strongly recommending you get Internet service in your unit which will bring more bookings your way. Also, make sure the internet modem you have is currently in use and it doesn’t need to be replaced.

·     Bed Bugs –Every year we have at least one unit that has bed bugs. All beds and sleeper sofa should have bed bug and waterproof mattress pads/coverings.

·     Balcony Furniture – Make sure balcony furniture is stable and clean.

·     Current Info. – Make sure to give Shoreline all current parking permits, pool tags, pool codes, door codes, Internet names and passwords. Please let us know of any updates or changes to your unit or building.

·     Kitchen Supplies – Please make sure all cookware, dishes and utensils are clean and organized. Replace old kitchenware and replenish missing inventory.

·     Bedroom Closet – Please make sure all closets are clean and tidy. Secure your personal items in a separate area.

·     Property presentation and cleanliness is very important. There is still time for you to get a fresh coat of paint and spring cleaning before the season starts. If you would like to set up a spring cleaning, call us at 800-492-5832.
